Experiments 2 – Editing Studio Shoot

THOUGHTS

– Adding another layer over the shots from the shoot made the production process a lot less obvious; it become less clear how the visuals have been achieved

– Can be a bit too much with lots of colours / too busy a composition; had to carefully select contrasting shots

– Definitely prefer the black and white version! Gives footage much more polished feel, and means less opportunity for clashing of colours

– Having Bhakti in plain clothes with very classic, graphic eye make up definitely enhanced overall look (but was a happy coincidence, not planned, so will have to remember to incorporate this into final shoot)Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 13.16.27 Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 13.17.00 Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 13.17.32 Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 13.17.44

– In final shot Bhakti is out of focus, however the layer with flowers are in focus

– Keeps visuals interesting and adds depth to footage; draws eye into image

– Could be interesting to explore further

– In black and white images Bhaktis shadow also creates another layer

(especially when in obvious silhouette and in focus)
